Floyd’s hands-on approach and track record of innovative and practical solutions can be traced to roots as a squad leader, and aircraft-certified welder/machinist in the US Air Force and subsequently with the Airborn Special Operations Test Directorate on Ft. Bragg NC, while completing his Engineering degree. Practical application of engineering technology and a focus on solving real-world root cause problems continues to drive excellent results. Upon completion of engineering school Floyd put his unique combination of hands-on skills and education to work, solving process, organizational, and design improvements for Stanley Tools, Heatcraft, United Technologies Carrier, Knorr-Bremse, Welch-Allyn, and GE. The value-proposition of these hands-on skills, collaborative leadership style, world-class manufacturing methodologies, deep process analysis, and innovative engineering solutions are now leveraged at an even higher level through leadership, training, and coaching production teams around the world.
